Understanding is the creation of truth (15-May-20)

Understanding: is the bestowing of meaning upon the form the senses detect to discover how it should react (to uphold its purpose), using knowledge: the acquired experience of cause and effect.

Meaning, is created by applying beliefs about Right and Wrong, what to do and what not to do.

This Morality controls the Understanding, so it is also the Religion of the understanding:

Must exist before understanding can function so is the Permanent Foundation of the understanding
It must be formed during the creation of the understanding by the experiences of infancy.
Is the Fixed Personality, or character, of the understanding as it dictates behaviour.
Must be either:
- Selfish: Where the set of beliefs reveres "Me" ahead of all other considerations, including truth, which becomes what private fears and fancies demand, so corrupting knowledge and making the understanding Insane.
OR
- Unselfish: Where the set of beliefs reveres "Us", the community, ahead of all other considerations, which in turn demands that private fears and fancies be ignored in realising truth, and the understanding is Sane.

Knowledge is the remembered observations of Cause and Effect (Science) revealed by the experience of the understanding. They are collected and refined throughout the life of the understanding and stored in memory. This accumulation of knowledge permits the recognition of patterns in the knowledge, which allows the development of Abstract Tools that enhance the power of the understanding. For example the Recognition of truth from falsity, Logic and Mathematics.
